On June 6, IVE released a new episode of their self-produced content 1,2,3 IVE Season 6, titled IVE’s K-POP Grand Strategy, on their official YouTube channel.
The episode began with members drawing cards indicating a number of jewels. Reactions varied, from Rei exuberantly expressing joy with three jewels to Leeseo requesting a redraw after getting zero. Upon learning they needed to earn jewel cards through missions, An Yu-jin quipped, “I’m the jewel,” sparking smiles. Jang Won-young, appearing last with no choice in cards, confidently declared to the remaining card, “You were waiting for me,” showcasing her signature “Won-young mindset.”
A mission tailored for IVE’s K-pop expertise, Find the K-POP Devil, was introduced. Before the main game, IVE kicked off with a dance initiation, performing choreography to songs like IVE’s TKO, Orange Caramel’s Magic Girl, and ITZY’s Dalla Dalla, exuding adorable charm.
IVE continued with various K-pop-themed games. In the first, Hold the Mic, members passionately sang and danced to every song, forgetting the game itself. After a fierce competition, Liz and Rei reached the final, with Liz clinching victory during T-ara’s Bo Peep Bo Peep as Rei was immersed in the performance. The Random Curling game, using various props, followed, with IVE expressing satisfaction, saying, “This is so fun.” In Unity Karaoke, members challenged themselves to score 100 points on randomly selected songs. Despite unfamiliar tracks, their musical instincts shone, nailing perfect scores on the first try, astonishing everyone. An Yu-jin and Gaeul added playful charm by dramatically reciting lyrics with emotional acting.
Additional games included Dance Challenge, Nationwide Song Festival, Play K-POP, and K-POP Emoji Game. Initially hesitant, saying, “I don’t think I’ll get it right,” Jang Won-young unleashed intense passion and flair in the K-POP Emoji Game, clinching first place with a booming voice. Members reacted with comments like, “She really wanted to win.” Notably, An Yu-jin, with an 8-year bond with Jang Won-young, remarked, “That’s the loudest I’ve ever heard your voice,” prompting laughter.
